Mold Repair Technician

About This Role

This role involves disassembling, inspecting, repairing, and reassembling injection molds to ensure peak production performance. The technician will perform root cause analysis on mold issues and contribute to design improvements.

Responsibilities

• Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble molds to keep production at peak performance
• Perform root cause analysis on mold issues to find and fix problems efficiently
• Suggest design improvements and mentor others when needed
• Use mold drawings and design sketches to guide repair work
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace for safety and precision
• Work with complex mold systems including cooling, hot runner, gating, and ejection
• Communicate with teammates across departments to build a strong, connected shop floor

Requirements

• Strong background in multi-cavity injection mold repair and maintenance
• Experience reading and interpreting mold drawings and blueprints
• Knowledge of mold component systems (cooling, wiring, hot runners, etc.)
• Solid math, measuring, and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs solo or up to 80 lbs with a team lift
• English fluency for reading instructions and communicating effectively
