Respond to road calls and breakdowns to repair and maintain diesel engines and mechanical systems on heavy vehicles, ensuring operational readiness for Shoreline Transportation.
Responsibilities
- Repair diesel engines and mechanical systems
- Assist with road calls and breakdowns
- Perform DOT inspections
- Utilize computer programs like Microsoft Office and Excel for documentation
- Acquire Volvo certificates and on-the-job training
Requirements
- 1+ year Diesel engine repair experience
- 3-5 years Mechanical knowledge
- Possess basic mechanic tools
- Experience with Brakes
- Experience with AC
- Experience with DOT Inspection
- Experience assisting with Road Calls and Breakdowns
- Proficient with computer programs, Microsoft Office, Excel and Outlook
Qualifications
- 1+ year of diesel engine repair, 3-5 years of mechanical knowledge
Nice to Have
- Prior knowledge of Logistics/Transportation Industry
- Experience with Maintenance software
- Knowledge of Qualcomm
- ASE Automotive Excellence
- Class A CDL
