Mobile Automotive Technician

About This Role

This role involves performing on-site diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on commercial and medium-duty vehicles directly at customer locations. The technician will work independently, manage their schedule and inventory, and prioritize customer satisfaction and safety.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on commercial and medium-duty vehicles, including engines, brakes, electrical systems, suspensions, starters, alternators, and transmissions
• Complete routine services such as oil changes, brake inspections, tune-ups, tire rotations, radiator replacements, and minor body or component repairs
• Deliver exceptional service by resolving on-site issues efficiently, professionally, and with a focus on customer satisfaction
• Manage and maintain a mobile service vehicle stocked with necessary tools, parts, and diagnostic equipment
• Document all services performed, parts used, and customer interactions accurately using Shop Monkey
• Adhere to all safety protocols and industry standards to ensure a safe working environment
• Work independently while staying connected to a supportive team for guidance, escalation, and resource coordination

Requirements

• Two years of mechanical automotive experience with medium-duty vehicles (Freightliner, Ford Transit, Dodge ProMaster)
• Possession of a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Toolbox with essential tools
• Proficient in diagnosing and repairing issues such as starters, transmissions, alternators, and radiators
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency with digital tools and mobile applications
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively

Qualifications

• 2+ years of mechanical automotive experience with a strong background with medium-duty vehicles, particularly Freightliner, Ford Transit, and Dodge ProMaster

Nice to Have

• Previous experience working in a mobile automotive service role
• One year of engine repair experience
