The Data Quality Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of membership data within the AACR system of record. This role is crucial in maintaining data integrity and identifying and resolving data quality issues, collaborating with various teams to establish data quality standards and support their implementation.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate the quality of data through data profiling, validation, and analysis; identify and document data quality issues, anomalies, and inconsistencies.
- Define, recommend, and help establish data quality standards, guidelines, and best practices.
- Collaborate with the IT department to design and execute data cleansing and transformation procedures.
- Develop and execute data validation tests and procedures to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
- Investigate and troubleshoot data quality issues, collaborating with relevant teams to identify root causes and implement appropriate solutions.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of data quality processes, standards, and methodologies; generate reports and dashboards.
- Continuously assess and improve data quality assurance processes and methodologies.
- Train staff on data entry standards and provide guidance on data-related issues.
- Offer support to business users in resolving data-related issues and answering data quality-related queries.
- Stay up to date with emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in data quality assurance.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 3-5 years of experience in data quality, data management, or database administration
- Strong understanding of data quality concepts, methodologies, and best practices
- Experience in data analysis, profiling, and data cleansing techniques
- Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work effectively and independently and as part of a team
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Data Analytics, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- 3-5 years of experience in data quality, data management, or database administration, preferably in a non-profit environment
Nice to Have
- Experience in a non-profit environment
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, Raiser's Edge) and nonprofit databases
- Experience in working with large datasets and complex data environments
