This role involves working independently or managing other contractor staff to coordinate logistics activities for medical materiel management and warehouse operations. The specialist will ensure the overall readiness and availability of unit Expeditionary Contingency Medical Materiel (ECMM).
Responsibilities
- Provide logistical oversight and inventory management for 27 Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear (CBRN) Response Enterprise
- Ensure precise SLEP/DMLSS statistics and communicate updates to affected units, AFMED, and NGB/SGX
- Conduct monthly reviews and provide monthly reports to the COR on SLEP and DMLSS inventory records
- Function as Logical SLEP coordinator and conduct regular inventory audits
- Track and document the usage of medical materials and assist in procurement of medical supplies and equipment
- Work independently at single-location sites and provide management oversight of onsite contractor staff
- Coordinate logistics activities with base organizations, units, and government agencies
- Ensure overall readiness and availability of unit ECMM, including general medical materiel management and warehouse activities
- Serve as the vendor-contracted Air National Guard (ANG) Influenza Program Manager
- Act as the focal point between the Surgeon General and ANG Medical Groups regarding the influenza program
Requirements
- Associate’s Degree or higher OR 8 years of medical logistics field experience with 6 years of specialized medical materiel management experience
- Experience in general supply activities, ordering, receiving, customer support, inventory management, assemblage management, warehousing, and operation of various materials handling equipment
- Experience using and running transactions in the MMIS
- Ability to pass client background screening for security clearance
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Qualifications
- Associate’s Degree or higher or eight years of medical logistics field experience
- Minimum 8 years of medical logistics field experience with six years of specialized medical materiel management experience in a healthcare or healthcare support environment.
