Medical Front Office

About This Role

This role is the first point of contact for patients, responsible for managing patient flow, completing administrative tasks related to registration and discharge, and maintaining a positive clinic environment. The Medical Front Office Receptionist provides exceptional customer service and supports the organization's high standards of patient care.

Responsibilities

• Obtain personal and insurance data from patients and input information into the EMR system
• Monitor the flow of patients, including placing patients into rooms as needed
• Complete all necessary insurance forms for registration to ensure proper reimbursement
• Prepare daily deposit, reconciliation, and daily statistical information
• Ensure an adequate stock of front office supplies and proper functioning of equipment
• Answer telephones utilizing quality customer service skills
• Ensure patient waiting area and restrooms are clean
• Manage patient appointments scheduled via the NextCare website
• Notify back office immediately of any urgent medical concerns a patient may be experiencing
• Educate patients on services offered by NextCare for their current or next visit
• Promptly notify the Clinic Manager of any patient or employee safety concerns

Requirements

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent, Medical Administrative Assistant Certificate or equivalent is highly desired
