This role involves assisting and delivering patient care, providing administrative support, and supporting providers in the examination and treatment of patients.
Responsibilities
- Assist and deliver patient care duties under supervision of provider and/or practice manager
- Provide administrative support throughout the practice
- Assist the provider in examination and treatment of patients
- Perform miscellaneous delegated duties under the direction of provider
- Interview patients
- Measure vital signs
- Record information in patients' charts
- Prepare treatment rooms for examination of patients
- Perform duties to enhance efficiency and continuity of delivery of patient care (cross-trained)
Requirements
- Current Medical Assistant certification/registration (CCMA, CMA (AAMA), NCMA, RMA through AMT) OR completion of KHMG Medical Assistant Training Program/MA program through accredited institution and successful attainment of certification/registration within 15 months of hire
- OR Graduate of accredited LPN program (or equivalent) with current Ohio license
Qualifications
- Medical Assistant certification/registration or Graduate of accredited LPN program with current Ohio license
Nice to Have
- 1-year clinical experience in a medical/physician office setting
- Practical knowledge in examination process, diagnostic and treatment room procedures, medical equipment and instruments, safety hazards and precautions, confidentiality/discretion
- Experience with use of electronic medical records
