This Medical Assistant role provides general clinic support within a team-based integrated care model, focusing on primary and behavioral health care patients. Responsibilities include patient intake, scheduling, referrals, and providing patient education.
Responsibilities
- Assist with coordinating internal and external referrals
- Perform patient intake and discharge procedures
- Schedule patient appointments
- Assist with patient phone calls
- Provide lab coverage
- Maintain exam rooms and clinical areas
- Develop and provide patient education as directed by the patient's provider
Requirements
- High school diploma
- Current Medical Assistant certification
- One or more years of clinical work experience
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
Qualifications
- High school diploma
- One or more years of clinical work experience
Nice to Have
- Phlebotomy certification
- Experience with Electronic Medical Records system
