Assist healthcare providers in delivering quality patient care, promoting a culture of safety for patients at EvergreenHealth.
Responsibilities
- Greet and room patients per standard
- Take patients history and vital signs
- Prepare patients for exam
- Assist provider with exam/surgical procedures and diagnostic testing
- Maintain appropriate sterile environment for the clinical procedure or situation, adhering to the Washington State standard for transmission precautions
- Administer injections (intradermal, subcutaneous and intramuscular) per provider orders
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Current WA State Medical Assistant Certification
- Current national certification through AAMA, AMT, NHA, NCCT or AMCA
- Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire
- Proficient with medical terminology
- Ability to utilize EMR efficiently
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing
Qualifications
- High School graduate or equivalent or applicable coursework to be applied to obtain required WA State Medical Assistant Certification.
Nice to Have
- National certification through the American Associations of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
- 1 year of MA experience in a medical office or healthcare setting
