This Medical Assistant / Care Gap Quality Trainer performs a dual role to enhance patient care outcomes and operational efficiency by identifying and addressing care gaps for various insurance types, while also training staff on EHR systems and clinical workflows.
Responsibilities
- Identify and address care gaps for Medicaid Managed Medical Assistance (MMA), Private Insurances and/or Medicare patients
- Support staff training on Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems
- Support staff training on clinical workflows
- Ensure patients receive timely and appropriate healthcare services
- Ensure healthcare personnel are well-trained on systems and procedures that improve quality and compliance
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum five years medical assisting experience
- CPR certification
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, One-year certificate from college or technical school OR 3-6 months related experience/training in healthcare or Electronic Health Record (EHR) training
- Minimum five years medical assisting experience
Nice to Have
- One-year certificate from college or technical school OR 3-6 months related experience/training in healthcare or Electronic Health Record (EHR) training
- Two to four years of experience in a primary care setting or clinical training environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience with healthcare systems and patient care processes
