This internship, with a clear pathway to a full-time Mechanical Engineer position, focuses on hands-on work with industrial metal processing machinery in an active R&D environment. The role involves building, modifying, testing, and troubleshooting physical prototypes.
Responsibilities
- Improve existing mechanical designs
- Create CAD models based on new design concepts
- Build functional prototypes and test design principles
- Debug, iterate, and refine mechanical systems
- Coordinate with manufacturing partners in China for mass production
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Strong hands-on mechanical skills and troubleshooting ability
- Solid foundation in mechanical design principles
- Proficiency with common hand and power tools
- Proficient in SolidWorks
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Currently on OPT or graduating soon and planning to apply for OPT
