Mechanical Design Engineer with CREO

Join HCLTech as a Mechanical Design Engineer, leveraging CREO to innovate the technological world. This role involves designing and producing manufacturing documentation for sheet metal and electro-mechanical products, focusing on telecom equipment.

Responsibilities

• Design electro-mechanical products, particularly telecom equipment enclosures, with strong experience in sheet metal or plastic design
• Produce Manufacturing documentation using GD&T and bi-lateral 1D, 2D & 3D tolerance methods with Creo Mechanical Design software
• Design products within process limits for manufacturing production, including press brake, stage, and progressive hard tooling processes
• Perform tolerance analysis and incorporate relevant safety standards, EMC/EMI design constraints, and PCB layout requirements for sheet metal enclosures
• Utilize IDF data translation between ECAD software and Creo Mechanical Design Software
• Collaborate with other design disciplines, Hardware, Safety, EMC/EMI, SI, and Manufacturing Engineers during product development
• Manage multiple projects and priorities effectively with minimal supervision
• Communicate effectively, both written and verbally, in English

Requirements

• Strong experience in sheet metal design and/or plastic design
• Experience in Electro-mechanical product design
• Good understanding of manufacturing processes
• Experience designing and producing Manufacturing documentation with GD&T and bi-lateral 1D, 2D & 3D tolerance methods using Creo Mechanical Design software
• Experience in designing products within process limits associated with press brake, stage and progressive hard tooling processes
• Expertise with tolerance analysis, relevant safety standards, EMC/EMI design constraints, pcb layout requirements as it applies to the sheet metal enclosure
• Experience with using IDF data translation between ECAD software and Creo Mechanical Design Software
• Proficient in various computer software tools such as Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint
• Strong team player who can handle multiple projects and priorities with little direction

Nice to Have

• Telecom equipment product design (enclosure design/electro-mechanical system design) experience
