Teach mathematics courses, assess student progress, and provide advisement. This role also involves participating in college activities, committees, and contributing to recruitment and retention efforts.
Responsibilities
- Teach courses in mathematics
- Perform assessment functions for students
- Provide student advisement
- Assist with student registration
- Participate in recruitment and retention activities
- Engage in college outreach activities
- Serve on college committees
- Participate in departmental, division, and college planning sessions to communicate the college’s mission and goals
Requirements
- Doctorate or master’s degree in mathematics
- Master’s degree with a concentration in the teaching discipline (minimum 18 graduate semester hours in teaching discipline)
Qualifications
- Doctorate or master’s degree in mathematics or master’s degree with a concentration in the teaching discipline (a minimum of 18 graduate semester hours in the teaching discipline) for associate degree courses designed for transfer to the baccalaureate degree
