About This Role

This role involves planning, delivering, and evaluating health education programs for pregnant individuals, infants, children, and families, focusing on culturally responsive and evidence-based practices. The educator works to reduce health disparities, improve outcomes, and empower parents through informed health decisions.

Responsibilities

Provide training and orientation for new hires
Provide ongoing education for staff in L&D, Mother Baby, Nursery, and Pediatrics
Facilitate annual skills and drills
Review current literature to update clinical policies and procedures
Monitor patient care quality
Audit documentation and implement changes to improve clinical outcomes
Work with physicians, unit managers, and leadership to identify learning needs
Ensure staff training meets hospital policies and state/federal standards
Maintain employees’ files, credentials, and continued education

Requirements

2 years’ clinical experience in Maternal Child Service field
Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
2 years’ clinical experience in the Maternal Child Service field
