This role involves managing freight flow by moving and loading various types of freight using powered equipment and warehouse management systems. The material handler will ensure compliance with company policies and maintain an organized work area.

Responsibilities

• Complete work assignments and priorities by collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and business partners
• Identify priorities, deadlines, and expectations, carrying out tasks, and communicating progress and information
• Manage freight flow by moving and loading freight manually and with powered equipment
• Identify, count, separate, combine, and scan freight using warehouse management system, terminal scales, and scanners
• Maintain records, logs, and forms related to freight handling
• Comply with company policies, procedures, and standards of ethics and integrity
• Keep work area organized and maintain freight flow by stacking and moving empty pallets
• Monitor freight to ensure cold chain and species compliance
