Marketing Assistant

About This Role

This entry-level Marketing Assistant role supports the Director of Marketing in executing daily marketing activities for La Scuola International School, offering broad exposure to school marketing operations and communications. The role focuses on strengthening the school's visibility, community engagement, and brand impact through digital and print content, web maintenance, and project coordination.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the development and execution of marketing and communications plans
• Support writing, proofreading, updating, and formatting content for publications, web, and internal communications
• Help track marketing performance metrics through GA4 and other tools
• Attend occasional after-hours events such as school fairs
• Regularly maintain and update website content using WordPress
• Ensure accuracy, usability, and brand alignment of web pages
• Assist Director of Marketing with copy and work with designers to create supporting visual assets for paid digital campaigns
• Coordinate with external vendors and consultants to produce materials, implement campaigns, manage timelines, and ensure accurate execution across platforms
• Assist in assessing campaign effectiveness, compiling performance summaries and insights
• Assist with layout and light design tasks using Adobe Creative Suite or comparable design tools
• Coordinate print and digital production processes, from file preparation to vendor communication
• Track project timelines, approvals, and deliverables across multiple initiatives
• Organize and manage marketing assets and documentation
• Provide logistical support for photography, video, and on-campus events

Requirements

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Solid organizational skills and ability to manage concurrent tasks
• Familiarity with WordPress website editing and basic web principles
• Graphic design competency
• Experience with Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent design/layout software
• Capacity for both independent work and collaborative problem-solving
• Availability for some on-site work in San Francisco

Nice to Have

• Familiarity with Italian and/or Spanish languages
• Prior experience in education or nonprofit communications
• Experience with print and digital production workflows
• Knowledge of digital marketing platforms and analytics
• Background in project management or marketing operations
