Marina Attendant

About This Role

This Marina Attendant role involves the daily operation of the marina, including physical labor, guest services, and clerical tasks. The position is crucial for providing excellent Forbes-standard guest service and assisting with all aspects of vessel and watercraft operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent, Forbes based customer service.
• Provide guests with property orientation, including available services.
• Deliver welcome amenities for arriving Marina guests.
• Assist guests with docking vessels, including tying lines and connecting utilities.
• Provide instructions for use of all marina watercraft.
• Assist guests in the usage of all marina watercraft, including launch and recovery.
• Provide trash removal services for guests.
• Provide ice and package delivery, luggage assistance and ground transportation to guests.
• Operate company vehicles with and without guests.
• Facilitate fuel sales.
• Perform vessel maintenance on all Tides Inn vessels.
• Answer the phone and Communicate appropriately by VHF radio.
• Perform required steps to open and close the Marina.
• Assist with other duties or assignments as required by Marina Manager or Marina Supervisor, Coordinator or Captain.
• Serve as ground crew for arriving seaplanes as required by the pilots.

Requirements

• Ability to communicate in English verbally and in writing
• Basic computer skills
• Excellent line handling abilities
• Willingness to learn and retain knowledge necessary for daily work schedule

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Previous experience in guest service/marina environment preferred.

Nice to Have

• Ability to operate a marine radio system
• Previous experience in guest service/marina environment
• Knowledge of marine terminology and equipment
