Manufacturing Youth Apprentice

About This Role

Join as a Manufacturing Youth Apprentice to gain real-world experience, develop technical skills, and contribute to creating products for the Aerospace, Power Generation, Defense and Space industries. This role is for high school students participating in the Wisconsin Youth Apprenticeship Program.

Responsibilities

• Explore different areas of manufacturing to discover strengths
• Assist skilled technicians and shadow experienced professionals
• Perform hands-on operations like buffing, sandblasting, deburring, hand grinding, assembling, planishing, forming, part washing, and/or part marking
• Contribute to quality control by helping to ensure products meet requirements
• Keep work area clean and organized to maintain a safe and efficient workspace

Requirements

• High school student entering junior or senior year
• Participating in the Wisconsin Youth Apprenticeship Program through the Department of Workforce Development
