Manufacturing Production Operator

About This Role

This role involves preparing, handling, and testing optical engines for production, ensuring the highest quality standards are met in a lean manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Use tweezers to pick/place Optical Engines from trays, to tabletop testers, and back
• Perform measurements, alignment and testing of optical cable
• Understand and apply work instructions relevant to the area
• Read, comprehend and build orders according to blueprints and PICS specifications
• Familiarity with all equipment and tooling and understand their use in the assembly process
• Use a microscope for extended periods of time
• Maintain in-process workflow in a lean manufacturing environment
• Communicate effectively with co-workers (both written and verbal)
• Exhibit patience with new, tedious processes and suggest ideas for improved processes and tooling
• Pay attention to detail

Requirements

• One year Production/Manufacturing experience
• Ability to use tweezers for precise handling
• Ability to perform measurements, alignment, and testing of optical cable
• Proficient in reading and comprehending work instructions, blueprints, and PICS
• Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and tooling
• Ability to use a microscope for extended periods
• Strong quality mindset
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Attention to detail

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year Production/Manufacturing experience.
