About This Role

This role involves developing and refining production processes to meet design and business requirements, ensuring safety, quality, efficiency, and timely delivery. You will evaluate products for manufacturability, implement tooling, and resolve non-conformances while ensuring compliance with quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, qualify, and refine production processes to meet design and business requirements (safety, quality, efficiency, delivery)
  • Collaborate to solve production challenges
  • Evaluate customer products for manufacturability, forecast, develop, and implement tooling
  • Resolve product non-conformances and implement root cause corrective actions
  • Develop and refine floor layouts, capacity models, and product flow analysis to ensure on-time delivery
  • Develop and implement quality tools, processes, and inspection equipment
  • Perform hardware inspections using basic and advanced measurement tools for specification compliance
  • Manage Corrective Actions, NCR’s, revision control, and other quality-focused documents
  • Direct and implement policies and procedures compliant with ISO9001, AS9100, ISO13485 and similar quality standards
  • Work with and train team members in quality processes to improve work products and productivity
  • Support the team and company as needed, performing multiple tasks

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering
  • 3+ years of engineering experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment
  • Experience working in a QMS or similar type system, actively participating in NCR’s, CAPA’s, and other quality-based documents
  • Ability to read engineering prints, proficient interpretation of GD&T feature interpretation
  • Patience to educate team on quality processes, policies, and equipment

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering
  • 3+ years of engineering experience in a fast-paced manufacturing or production environment

Nice to Have

  • Machining or welding background, or engineering background with hands-on experience
  • Experience developing and implementing production work-flows to improve on-time delivery and efficient operations
  • Proficiency with precision measurement tools such as dial indicators, bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, CMM’s, and other common inspection equipment
  • Experience participating in or deciding on quality equipment purchases
  • Experience developing and implementing quality policies across an organization
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strong desire to help maintain shop cleanliness, organization, and a lean manufacturing environment
  • Experience using ERP’s/QMS’s
