This role is responsible for overseeing and managing medical writing staff members, ensuring the quality and adherence of medical writing deliverables to customer and internal goals, and contributing to strategic planning and business development activities within Syneos Health.
Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise medical writing staff members
- Review and edit departmental work products for completeness, accuracy, and overall quality
- Ensure adherence to Sponsor objectives and maintenance of quality standards
- Support the leadership team in planning, developing, and implementing document development strategies and business updates
- Assist with the preparation of budgets and timelines for medical writing activities
- Assist with budgeting, revenue, invoicing, and forecasting
- Contribute to departmental metrics by tracking, maintaining, and reviewing project metrics
- Support business development through proposal and costing development, bid defenses, and customer meetings
- Build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers
- Form, maintain, and lead productive cross-functional working teams
- Review performance of medical writing personnel
- Develop and maintain departmental SOPs and templates
- Participate in the planning, writing, and assembly of medical writing deliverables
- Perform senior reviews of medical writing deliverables, statistical analysis plans, and table/figure/listing
