About This Role

Lead the development and execution of effective supply plans to meet customer demand, optimize inventory, capacity, and cost for a global sleep company. This role ensures supply continuity and drives cross-functional alignment across the supply chain.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely production and delivery for long lead-time management
  • Translate accurate Demand forecasts into actionable ordering plans to ensure timely availability of products, accounting for seasonal fluctuations and changes in Demand patterns
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels using a min/max approach to balance supply and demand, identify risks of stockouts or excess stock, and implement corrective actions
  • Oversee the supplier's production process, ensure timelines are met, and work closely with suppliers to resolve issues and maintain delivery schedules
  • Collaborate with the Demand team and cross-functional partners to assess sales trends and identify necessary adjustments to forecasts
  • Coordinate inventory transfers between plants to optimize inventory levels and support manufacturing schedules
  • Manage and coordinate shipments through various ports of entry, ensuring smooth transits and addressing logistical challenges
  • Track inventory orders and supplier performance data, provide regular reports and analysis with insights and recommendations to stakeholders
  • Apply working knowledge of inventory holding costs, cashflow implications, and financial impacts of inventory decisions for cost and cash-flow management
  • Continuously evaluate and implement process improvements related to ordering, inventory, and supplier management to enhance operational efficiency

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Statistics, Logistics, or related field
  • 3-5 years relevant experience in Manufacturing, Supply Chain or Operations
  • Strong analytical skills and problem-solving techniques
  • Strong practical skills using statistical modeling
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Excel expert level

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Statistics, Logistics, or related field
  • 3-5 years relevant experience in Manufacturing, Supply Chain or Operations
