Manager of Clinical Services (RN)

About This Role

Lead and supervise interdisciplinary hospice care teams, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, person-centered care to patients and families. Oversee care planning, staff development, compliance, and team collaboration within a compassionate hospice environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision, coaching, and delegation to assigned interdisciplinary team members
• Ensure clinical care adheres to individualized plans, hospice regulations, organizational policies, and professional standards
• Coordinate and facilitate weekly Interdisciplinary Group (IDG) meetings for patient-facing care teams
• Review clinical documentation for timeliness, completeness, and regulatory compliance
• Support patient care transitions and collaborate on staffing and caseload distribution
• Provide real-time coaching for symptom management, family dynamics, ethical concerns, or complex care needs
• Participate in hiring, orientation, training, and evaluation of clinical staff
• Address quality, safety, and service concerns and implement corrective actions
• Assist in scheduling and coverage planning to meet patient needs, including after-hours or weekend situations
• Participate in Quality Assessment and Performance Improvement (QAPI) and compliance activities
• Model professionalism, accountability, and compassionate care
• Support documentation audits, surveys, or accreditation processes

Requirements

• Current RN license
• Minimum of three (3) years clinical experience in hospice, palliative care, or related setting
• Current CPR certification
• Strong clinical judgment, communication, and organizational skills
• Proficient in electronic medical record systems and Microsoft Office
• Ability to work in home and facility settings with reliable transportation
• Demonstrated empathy, sensitivity, and ability to support diverse patients and families

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing or related field preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years clinical experience in hospice, palliative care, or related setting; minimum of one (1) year leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
