This role manages facilities access and technology services at Quinnipiac University, ensuring campus spaces are secure, accessible, and supported by innovative technology solutions. The manager will work with various stakeholders to maintain data integrity and support technology requests for the Facilities department.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the University’s keyed and electronic access systems, including administration, implementation, troubleshooting, upgrades, and reporting
- Commission and maintain access control equipment and inventory
- Assist with the Facilities Department’s work request system, including administration, implementation, troubleshooting, upgrades, and reporting
- Coordinate access services preventive maintenance planning across various campus locations
- Work with university stakeholders to ensure data integrity in Facilities technology systems
- Perform data analytics for work orders, utilities, KPIs, and other Facilities systems
- Enhance the Facilities website and departmental SharePoint data
- Support technology requests for the Facilities department, including Office 365, cell phone services, BMS system, event system, Kronos, and iPads/iPods
- Inventory and maintain records for cut keys and key holders
Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in area of expertise
- Experience supporting system administration tasks, including upgrades, troubleshooting, reporting, and implementation of new technologies
- Experience managing complex tasks, programs or projects
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with diverse populations
- Proven managerial, fiscal, and organizational ability
- Competency with Windows-based platform and applications
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, data integrity, and accuracy in all systems
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel between multiple campus locations
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with individuals from varied backgrounds
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Information Technology, Facilities Management, Engineering, Security Systems, or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Bachelor degree preferred.
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in area of expertise; experience supporting system administration tasks, managing complex tasks, programs or projects.
