About This Role

The Manager, Emergency Management & Safety is responsible for implementing and managing enterprise-wide safety and emergency management programs across HealthTrust. This role ensures operational readiness for all-hazards events, maintains OSHA compliance, and integrates safety and emergency protocols across facilities, distribution centers, and office operations. This position plays a critical role in safeguarding employee wellbeing, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enhancing resilience within HealthTrust-operated facilities.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain OSHA-compliant safety programs for distribution centers, offices, and logistics hubs.
  • Conduct facility safety audits, hazard assessments, and maintain and drive corrective action tracking.
  • Develop training materials and lead education on workplace safety, ergonomics, and injury prevention.
  • Monitor, track, and report on safety incidents, near misses, and regulatory findings to leadership.
  • Collaborate with facility leadership to implement security and access control measures.
  • Maintain and test EOPs, safety annexes, and hazard-specific plans across sites.
  • Support HealthTrust Emergency Readiness Center (HERC) operations during activations, fulfilling designated ICS roles.
  • Develop and deliver safety and emergency management training programs.
  • Plan and participate in tabletop, functional, and full-scale exercises; develop AARs and track corrective actions.
  • Manage documentation, reporting, and project timelines for enterprise safety and emergency initiatives.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in safety, security, or emergency management roles
  • Demonstrated experience with OSHA standards, risk assessments, and safety audits

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in safety management, Emergency Management, Occupational Health, Industrial Engineering, Security Management, or related field
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in safety, security, or emergency management roles. Experience working in warehouses, logistics, or healthcare supply chain environments preferred. Demonstrated experience with OSHA standards, risk assessments, and safety audits. Experience with Incident Command System (ICS) and business continuity planning are strongly preferred.
