About This Role

Manage the corporate security plan and operations for a logistics company with multiple warehouse locations. This role involves ensuring regulatory compliance, safeguarding assets, leading investigations, and managing a team of security specialists.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage security operations across 7-9 locations, including hiring, training, and scheduling a team of 8-10 Site Security Specialists
  • Develop and implement security policies and procedures to maintain robust corporate protocols
  • Establish and monitor KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of the corporate security plan and report findings to leadership
  • Ensure adequate coverage at all warehouse locations, manage assignments to meet site-specific security requirements, and coordinate staffing during callouts or time-off requests
  • Provide ongoing training, coaching, performance evaluations, and documentation for team members, and address disciplinary matters when necessary
  • Communicate clear directives and guidance to the security team to ensure alignment with company objectives
  • Prepare reports, conduct investigations, and respond to inquiries with thorough documentation
  • Maintain adherence to safety rules and promptly report unsafe or hazardous conditions to the appropriate authorities

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a security specialist, guard/officer, or equivalent (military or civilian police experience included)
  • Proven ability to multitask and prioritize urgent staffing requirements effectively
  • Strong experience in networking and building professional relationships
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Self-motivated individual capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Familiarity with computer systems
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; a college degree is preferred
  • At least 5 years of experience as a security specialist, guard/officer, or equivalent, including military or civilian police experience
