About This Role

Oversee all phases of plant construction activities for new or expanding Services parts cleaning and refurbishment plants, ensuring projects meet safety, efficiency, and specification standards. This role coordinates contractors, manages schedules and budgets, and enforces strict adherence to process safety.

Responsibilities

  • Lead construction planning and execution for capital projects, new growth and plant expansions/modifications within the Services business unit.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards including OSHA, PSM, and site-specific chemical plant safety protocols.
  • Coordinate with engineering, operations, and facility teams to align construction activities with plant priorities and operational windows.
  • Manage contractors and subcontractors including onboarding, performance oversight, and adherence to site rules.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, and sequence work to meet schedule targets and minimize operational downtime.
  • Monitor project budgets, support procurements team, track spend progress, and report variances or risks.
  • Manage project risk and changes, resolving construction risks and coordinating change management.
  • Conduct field inspections to verify quality, progress, and compliance with design specifications.
  • Lead construction meetings, resolve field issues, and ensure timely communication across stakeholders.
  • Oversee permitting and documentation, including new build construction, Environmental permitting, and project specific safety work permitting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
  • 5-10 years of industrial construction experience
  • Experience managing contractors and multi-discipline construction teams
  • Proficiency with construction scheduling tools such as Primavera P6 or MS Project
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in active operating units
  • Project management and controls (cost, schedule, risk, change management)
  • Contract administration and procurement oversight
  • Quality management and field inspection practices
  • Safety leadership with emphasis on high-hazard environments
  • Communication and coordination across multi-discipline teams
  • Construction technology and methods relevant to complex industrial projects

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
  • 5-10 years of industrial construction experience, ideally within parts cleaning/refurbishment or similar chemical process environments, including managing contractors and multi-discipline construction teams.
