About This Role

This role provides leadership and coordination for faculty development initiatives at the University of La Verne, enhancing teaching effectiveness and student learning outcomes. It fosters innovation and collaboration in instructional practices by leading professional development programs and supporting faculty in educational technologies.

Responsibilities

• Provide implementation-level leadership and coordination for faculty development initiatives
• Enhance teaching effectiveness and student learning outcomes
• Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement in instructional practices
• Lead professional development programs
• Implement research-based pedagogical strategies
• Support faculty in the integration of educational technologies

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or appropriate certifications
• Substantive experience across job duties (in lieu of degree)
• 7+ years experience (overall)
• 5+ years of experience in higher education teaching and faculty development
• Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based teaching practices and pedagogical innovation
• Strong communication skills
• Strong collaboration skills
• Strong leadership skills

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, leadership, instructional design, a related field, or an academic discipline with significant experience in faculty development
• 7+ years overall experience, with a minimum of 5 years in higher education teaching and faculty development

Nice to Have

• Master's Degree in education, instructional design, or a related field
• Experience leading a teaching and learning center
• Knowledge of emerging technologies in higher education
• Experience with grants/grant writing
