About This Role

This role involves assisting students and professors with 3D printing technologies, creating demonstrations for outreach events, and maintaining the Maker Space environment and materials. It aims to help engineering students build a career portfolio for future full-time positions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist students and professors with 3D printing using FDM and SLA (Resin) printers
  • Generate demonstrations for outreach events
  • Teach students the basics of slicing software
  • Maintain a clean work environment in the Maker Space
  • Maintain and replace materials such as filament, resin, paper towels, and isopropyl alcohol

Requirements

  • Good communication skills
  • Prior knowledge of FDM Printers
  • Prior knowledge of SLA (Resin) printers
  • Prior knowledge of basic carpentry and equipment
  • Currently an Engineering major

Qualifications

  • Prior knowledge of FDM Printers and SLA (Resin) printers; prior knowledge of basic carpentry and equipment
