Support the Maintenance and Engineering Departments of Ergon Refining, Inc. by providing technical and engineering assistance for the development, design, and implementation of various projects, ensuring safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Prioritize safe work habits and maintain a clean workspace
- Develop good working relationships with co-workers, customers, and associates
- Develop completed project design specifications from conceptual ideas with limited direction
- Organize, prepare, and conduct project review and status presentations
- Review project details and equipment with Maintenance personnel to address their interests
- Prepare preliminary and detailed project estimates and cost justifications
- Prepare and implement project schedules for efficient task completion
- Monitor progress of all project phases to verify schedule and budget accuracy
- Secure coordinating and/or supervising contract consulting, engineering, design, and vendor services
- Specify and procure parts and equipment, verifying compatibility and compliance
- Document all phases of project design, construction, and installation
- Initiate, participate in, and ensure completion of the Management of Change Procedure
- Provide project follow-up including equipment file development, PM recommendations, spare parts acquisition, operating procedure development, startup assistance, and lessons learned documentation
- Assist in documenting general maintenance shutdowns, projects, and lessons learned
- Assist in development, implementation, and maintenance of Engineering and Construction specifications
- Assist in development of engineering project proposals and preparing cost estimates for budget reviews
- Work with staff to continually develop and improve project and maintenance engineering techniques, policies, and procedures
- Participate in all aspects of miscellaneous project and maintenance engineering as needed
Requirements
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Commitment to work a minimum of 3 semesters alternated with school
- Self-motivated

Qualifications
- Completion of 2 semesters in an accredited engineering program (preferably in civil or mechanical engineering)
