Maintenance Technician Generalist

About This Role

Diagnose, repair, and maintain residential properties and other assets within military housing to ensure the physical condition and appearance are upheld, impacting the daily lives of residents.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain the physical condition and appearance of residential properties
• Maintain other Mayroad assets such as pools, community centers, playgrounds, ice rinks, dog parks, and community gardens
• Perform structural, paint, plumbing, HVAC, electrical repairs and maintenance
• Pressure wash and clean various areas as needed

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED
• 3+ years of residential experience in carpentry, plumbing, basic electrical, and HVAC diagnostics and maintenance
• Current driver's license in good standing
• Ability to successfully pass a background, MVR, and drug test
• Familiarity with basic tools (carpentry, plumbing, electrical, power tools, saws, drills, hammers)
• Basic computer/phone skills
• REAL-ID compliant Driver’s License (Travel ID); valid and unrestricted
• Personal smartphone for on-the-job communication
• Personal vehicle for on-the-job transportation
• Ability to pass a state and federal background check to obtain access to the installation
• Ability to pass a 12-panel pre-employment drug test

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED; may be offset by experience
• 3+ years of residential experience in carpentry, plumbing, basic electrical, and HVAC diagnostics and maintenance
