The Mail Clerk will support a federal government agency, handling mail, packages, and documents. Responsibilities include sorting, metering, logging, and scanning to ensure efficient postal operations.
Responsibilities
- Route messages, packages, and mail to internal departments and Government entities
- Sort and open incoming and outgoing mail
- Meter outgoing mail accurately and efficiently
- Obtain receipts for delivered articles and maintain detailed logs
- Update mail logs and required Government systems
- Scan and process large multi-page documents
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to obtain a Public Trust/Suitability Clearance
- Ability to lift and carry 45 lbs. or more
- Ability to perform bending, stooping, climbing, and reaching
- Prior experience in clerical, filing, records management, or administrative support roles
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in clerical, filing, records management, or administrative support roles; experience supporting Government operations or high-volume documentation environments
