Machine Learning Engineer New Grad

About This Role

Build deep learning and transformer-based model architectures for ad candidate retrieval and ranking within Quora's advertising platform. Develop sophisticated bidding algorithms and scalable ML systems to optimize ad selection, leveraging large language models for brand safety detection and ad quality assessment.

Responsibilities

• Improve existing Ads Recommendation systems using machine learning expertise
• Identify new opportunities to apply Machine Learning to different parts of the Quora Ads Product
• Work with engineers to implement algorithms and systems efficiently
• Take end-to-end ownership of Machine Learning systems, from data pipelines and training to real-time prediction engine

Requirements

• Ability to be available during Quora's "coordination hours" (Mon-Fri: 9am-3pm Pacific Time)
• 2025 or Summer 2026 graduate with or pursuing a B.S., M.S., or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field
• Strong understanding of mathematical foundations of Machine Learning algorithms
• Knowledge of Python or C++
