LPN Wellness Nurse Part Time

About This Role

Provide direct patient care, administer medications, and offer health promotion and wellness counseling to residents in a senior living environment. This role involves participation in assessments and oversight of Certified Nursing Assistants.

Responsibilities

• Administer medication
• Provide direct care and service to residents
• Offer teaching and wellness counseling
• Engage in health promotion activities
• Participate in assessments under the supervision of the Resident Services Director (RN)
• Support residents and their families
• Oversee Certified Nursing Assistants
• Train associates and audit care
• Complete monthly in-service training as required

Requirements

• Licensed Practical Nurse currently licensed to practice in the State
• Two years full time or full time equivalent clinical experience
• Ability to perform tasks which may be physically demanding such as pushing, bending and lifting up to 50lbs
• Ability to maintain positive working relationships with residents, their families, peers and other staff members
• In good physical and emotional health and free of communicable diseases

Qualifications

• Two years full time or full time equivalent clinical experience

Nice to Have

• Experience and/or special interest working with older adults
• Prior dementia and psych experience
