Install, maintain, and troubleshoot a variety of low voltage systems in commercial and industrial environments, ensuring all work complies with applicable codes and safety policies. This role involves working independently or as part of a team on security systems, access control, fire alarms, data/communication networks, and audiovisual equipment.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain low voltage systems including security and surveillance, access control, fire alarms, structured cabling, and AV systems
- Troubleshoot wiring, equipment malfunctions, connectivity issues, and system performance problems
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure system reliability
- Upgrade and modify existing systems to meet project requirements and evolving technology
- Communicate with clients to understand system needs, provide recommendations, and resolve concerns professionally
- Ensure all work complies with applicable codes, standards, and regulations
- Follow all safety policies and procedures while working on job sites
- Use testing and diagnostic equipment to verify system functionality and performance
Requirements
- Working knowledge of low voltage systems including security, fire alarm, audio/video, and data cabling
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- Good communication and customer service skills
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Previous experience in low voltage or electrical systems
