About This Role

Serve as a locum Primary Care Nurse Practitioner, conducting comprehensive patient assessments, developing treatment plans, prescribing medications, and collaborating with healthcare providers at a facility in Honolulu, HI for a 13-week assignment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests
• Prescribe medications and manage chronic conditions
• Provide patient education and counseling on healthy lifestyle choices
• Perform procedures as permitted by state regulations and NP specialty
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure coordinated care
• Document patient care accurately and thoroughly

Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree focused on an NP specialty
• Active and unencumbered advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) license in Hawaii
• National certification as an NP in a relevant specialty area

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree focused on an NP specialty (e.g., family practice, adult-gerontology, pediatrics)
• At least one year of experience in a clinical setting relevant to their specialty
