This labor-intensive Loader I position is responsible for accurately loading and unloading various types of trucks (transport, bulk, route) with windows and doors, utilizing equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks. The role ensures order accuracy and proper documentation.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload transport, bulk, and route trucks according to safe work instructions
- Use proper loading procedures and ensure safe product handling
- Drive a forklift or use a pallet jack to move freight for transit
- Maintain strict attention to order accuracy during loading and unloading
- Comply with shipper/receiver documentation for order placement and dock transfers
- Complete Strap Log Documentation accurately
- Inspect units for defects or improper packaging
- Accurately scan units and place envelopes/packages with their stops
- Perform housekeeping duties to maintain a clean work environment
- Interact and communicate appropriately with team members
Requirements
- Ability to lift and/or carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds regularly
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or move more than 125 pounds through team lifting
- Ability to work shifts of at least 8 hours for 5 days a week
Qualifications
- High school diploma or a passed General Education Development test preferred
