Line Leader (High Speed Machine Operator)

About This Role

Lead and coordinate production operations, ensuring safe and quality meat product production by setting up, adjusting, and troubleshooting food production and packaging machinery.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate production operations of a line consisting of 4 or more people
• Coordinate the training of line personnel to maintain a skilled workforce
• Complete machine set up, tooling changes, adjustments, and troubleshooting for packaging machines
• Maintain line efficiencies and standards to meet quality and customer requirements
• Review daily production against standards and implement continuous improvement procedures
• Maintain appropriate quality and production documentation
• Perform general light maintenance and troubleshooting of machines and related equipment
• Take responsibility for the work area to produce a safe and quality food product

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• 3-5 years of manufacturing, high speed packaging, or food manufacturing experience
• 2+ years of successful leadership experience
• Basic understanding of GMPs, HACCP and SQF guidelines
• Mathematical skills for addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Good oral and written communication skills
• Certified in forklift operation
• Trained as an Authorized employee under LOTO
• Strong knowledge of AX software, net weight program, and craft sheets

Qualifications

• High School Diploma with an Associate's Degree preferred
• 3-5 years of manufacturing, high speed packaging, or food manufacturing experience and 2+ years of leadership experience
