Perform diagnostic x-ray procedures with a focus on patient safety and care, ensuring accurate documentation and maintaining medical supplies in an urgent care setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform and assist patients within the X-ray tech scope of practice under the supervision of a licensed provider
- Perform radiographic exams by prepping patients, explaining the procedure, and practicing safety standards to ensure radiation protection and safe operation of the X-ray machine
- Ensure up-to-date EMR patient records, and provide instructions as directed by the provider
- Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required
- Maintain clear documentation of all logs and required checks (i.e. refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen, cold sterilization fluid change, etc.)
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Graduation from an accredited post-secondary Radiologic Technology program
- Oregon LXMO or ARRT (R) certification upon hire
- 1 year or more experience in a medical office setting
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED, and graduation from an accredited post-secondary Radiologic Technology program
- 1 year or more experience in a medical office setting, urgent care preferred
