Provide comprehensive oral hygiene care and patient education as a PRN Licensed Dental Hygienist. This role allows for a flexible schedule while maintaining high standards of dental services.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive oral hygiene care, including prophylaxis, scaling, and root planing
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and preventive care
- Assess and document patient conditions, collaborating with the dental team for optimal treatment plans
- Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as permitted by state regulations
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records using Open Dental and other dental software
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe working environment
- Travel as needed to support community sites, which may include driving a company vehicle or personal transportation when necessary
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited school of dental hygiene
- Active Minnesota Dental Hygienist License
- Current CPR (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross
- Local anesthesia and nitrous oxide certification
- Effective oral and written communication skills in English
- Ability to work under a signed Collaborative Agreement following state and company regulations
- Proficiency or willingness to learn Open Dental software, Microsoft Office, and other necessary systems
- Valid driver’s license (based on clinic location) and willingness to travel as needed
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of dental hygiene
- 2-4 years of clinical experience preferred
