This role will provide frontline customer service and guidance to students, staff, and faculty at the Library of the Health Sciences in Peoria. The specialist will also cultivate a welcoming library environment through student wellness events, displays, and promotional activities.
Responsibilities
- Participate in creating and providing a welcoming library environment
- Provide assistance and guidance in the use of library collections, resources, and services through in-person, online, and virtual ready reference
- Provide virtual chat service coverage and triage online Ask-a-Librarian and Circulation questions
- Plan student wellbeing events and activities, at least once a semester
- Lead the planning and design of year-round library displays on the Gallery Wall and periodically in the building lobby display case
- Develop signage and promotional materials for student-facing activities and events
- Ensure consistent access to library resources and collections, including accessibility projects
- Supervise library student employees
