About This Role

This role involves designing, building, and scaling Palantir Foundry-based solutions for critical supply chain workflows within a quick-service restaurant network. It focuses on data engineering and platform development, replacing spreadsheet-driven processes with modern, real-time systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage complex data pipelines using PySpark and Foundry Pipeline Builder
  • Manage versioned code with branching strategies and peer reviews to ensure reproducibility
  • Align data modeling and transformation logic with evolving business needs
  • Model datasets and objects within the Foundry Ontology, maintaining consistent semantics, lineage, and auditability
  • Own ingestion frameworks via API, SFTP, and AWS Transfer Family, standardizing adapters, schemas, and validation
  • Define and enforce data quality rules (null checks, referential integrity, business constraints)
  • Configure Data Health monitoring, alerting, and triage workflows
  • Lead incident response for failed builds or health checks using lineage, logs, and postmortem documentation
  • Translate business logic from purchasing, logistics, compliance, and finance into durable, reusable datasets
  • Implement fine-grained permissions and approval workflows, maintaining audit trails for production changes and access escalations
  • Operate and maintain AWS services including S3, EC2, VPC, Lambda, IAM, Secrets Manager, and CloudWatch
  • Serve as technical owner for inbound and outbound data workflows with external partners
  • Design and build applications in Palantir Foundry using tools such as Workshop, Quiver, Slate, Contour, and Ontology
  • Maintain and enhance operational tools supporting analytics, forecasting, and supply chain execution
  • Manage user access, application performance, data lineage, and platform health
  • Partner with teams across purchasing, logistics, compliance, and finance to deliver scalable, practical solutions
  • Support troubleshooting and continuous improvement efforts to ensure system accuracy and usability

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional experience with Palantir platforms or 5+ years in data engineering or software development
  • Strong proficiency in Python and PySpark
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services spanning data storage, compute, security, and automation
  • Solid foundation in data architecture, integrations, and system design
  • Clear, concise communicator comfortable working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred
  • 3+ years of professional experience with Palantir platforms or 5+ years in data engineering or software development

Nice to Have

  • TypeScript experience
  • Direct experience building and deploying applications in Palantir Foundry
  • Exposure to supply chain, logistics, or large-scale operational environments
  • Comfort operating in fast-changing, high-impact environments
