This Lead LP Associate role manages relationships with Limited Partners, guides them through the onboarding process, and develops tailored solutions for their investment accounting, performance measurement, compliance monitoring, and reporting needs.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate a deep understanding of the firm's value proposition for LPs
- Follow established methodologies for client onboarding
- Provide comprehensive training and support to LP clients
- Communicate project status, potential issues, and risks to all stakeholders
- Independently lead project workstreams
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues faced by LP clients
- Manage relationships with clients and internal stakeholders
- Deliver exceptional consultancy services
- Identify and escalate risks or issues to relevant stakeholders
- Utilize acquired skills and best practices to complete tasks
- Build trust by providing accurate and timely responses to client inquiries
- Conduct internal training sessions for colleagues
- Document and recommend internal process improvements and service enhancements
- Apply creative solutions to effectively resolve complex client issues
- Proactively identify opportunities for process enhancement and lead initiatives
Requirements
- Advanced knowledge of investment accounting principles and practices, with a specific focus on LP structures
- Proven leadership skills to effectively guide workstreams and manage project delivery
- Understanding of investment performance metrics, risk exposure, and valuation methodologies
- Advanced understanding of financial markets
- Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities with analytical skills
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field, such as Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration
- 3+ years of relevant experience in a role related to alternative investments, private equity, or LP relationships
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with alternative investments, private equity, and accounting or audit practices
- Experience with relational database principles and SQL querying
