Lead Employee Residence Day Coordinator

About This Role

Oversee employee resident attendants and van drivers for Xanterra Travel Collection at Grand Canyon National Park. This role involves providing transportation services, ensuring cleanliness and maintenance of living facilities, and enforcing company policies within assigned housing areas. Play an essential role in providing warm and friendly hospitality to our guests.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the work of day residence coordinators/van drivers, assigning tasks and providing guidance
• Oversee and clean employee housing facilities including dormitory rooms, cabins, apartments, and common areas
• Serve as the primary liaison between employee residence attendant and housing management
• Provide training in procedures and best practices to maintain consistency in daily tasks
• Provide guidance and direction in resolving complex or sensitive resident issues or conflicts
• Lead or coordinate special projects related to resident housing programs
• Oversee and provide transportation services to employees, assisting with moving furnishings and disposing of trash
• Check in new arrivals, completing paperwork, giving tours, and explaining house rules
• Foster a positive community among residents by creating engagement activities
• Inspect individual rooms, cabins, or apartments as residents move out to ensure cleanliness and no damage

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills
• Ability to confidently and tactfully interact with a diverse group of people
• Possess or obtain a valid Arizona’s Driver’s License within 30 days of hire
• Ability to recognize maintenance and safety related hazards
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Willingness to work varied hours including nights and weekends
• Ability to perform outside tasks under adverse weather conditions
• Good attitude, good judgment, flexibility and diplomacy
