Lead and assist with meal preparations, cooking, and clean-up for the Vigo County Jail, ensuring adherence to company recipes. This position also requires driving and operating within a structured correctional environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead, instruct, and assist with meal preparations, including food preparation, baking, cooking, and clean-up
- Read and follow company recipes
- Lift up to 50 pounds
- Work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis
- Work varying shifts and hours (between 3:00pm - 6:00pm)
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Flexibility to work weekends and holidays on a rotating basis
- Flexibility to work varying shifts and hours (between 3:00pm - 6:00pm)
- Clearance approval into the facility
- Clearance on a Motor Vehicle Report
- Ability to work well in a structured correctional environment
- Ability to read and follow company recipes
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to lead, instruct, and assist with meal preparations
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
Nice to Have
- Previous food service experience
- Previous kitchen experience
