About This Role

This role is responsible for ensuring laboratory compliance with quality, education, and safety standards, developing and monitoring quality metrics, and coordinating equipment management. The coordinator collaborates with lab leadership on strategic investments to enhance efficiency and service quality.

Responsibilities

  • Establish policies and procedures to ensure laboratory compliance with CAP, CLIA, CMS, OSHA, Joint Commission standards
  • Monitor execution of policies and procedures for adherence
  • Develop and monitor all quality-related metrics and report updates to the organization
  • Collaborate with lab leadership to develop capital replacement plans and strategic investments
  • Coordinate and validate equipment calibration, maintenance, installations, and decommissioning
  • Write and maintain policies and procedures related to quality, education, and safety
  • Gather data for Quality Assurance and ensure timely reporting
  • Run monthly QA meetings and provide accurate reporting
  • Develop training schedules and assemble training packets for new hires
  • Track and document all staff competencies and maintain colleague files

Requirements

  • Ability to perform complex analytical functions
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and organize work of others as a team leader
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Familiarity with standard desktop and Windows based computer systems

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree and one year of clinical internship
  • 2+ years of hospital lab experience, 3 years preferred
