Lab Assistant I

About This Role

Perform phlebotomy, process patient specimens, and perform patient registration using the laboratory computer system. Responsible for preparing specimens for reference laboratories and maintaining department inventory, all while promoting teamwork and adhering to hospital values.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomy
• Process patient specimens
• Perform patient registration
• Utilize Laboratory computer system
• Prepare specimens to be sent to reference laboratories
• Maintain department inventory
• Operate and maintain equipment
• Perform various clerical duties
• Adhere to patient identification, laboratory safety, and department policies and procedures
• Promote teamwork with all members of the healthcare team
