This Junior Watch Analyst role supports the Federal Protective Service Operations Center (FPSOC) by maintaining situational awareness of DHS-related events, producing incident reports, and assisting with data analysis. The position requires 24/7 coverage in a rotating shift schedule to ensure continuous operational support for FPS.
Responsibilities
- Maintain situational awareness of DHS related events, incidents, and threats
- Produce incident reports, reporting products, and briefs
- Maintain RFI database, track RFIs, and ensure RFIs are reviewed and approved
- Conduct limited analysis on data in response to RFIs
- Produce limited GIS imagery to support reporting products
- Maintain the Common Operating Picture (COP)
- Ensure Blotter is received and reviewed
- Produce, review, distribute, and brief operational reports
- Maintain distribution lists
- Update watch turnover/pass down report
- Access, navigate, and utilize DHS and FPS law enforcement data systems and networks (to secret clearance level)
Requirements
- Active Secret security clearance or eligibility to obtain one
- BA/BS degree
- Up to 3 years of experience in operation centers, emergency management, dispatch, first responder, or related work
