Junior SQL Database Administrator

About This Role

Administer and develop SQL Server databases within a large enterprise environment, focusing on clustering, high-availability, and application tuning, while collaborating with architects, infrastructure teams, and developers.

Responsibilities

• Work within a large SQL database enterprise environment
• Administer SQL Server databases, specifically focusing on v2019/2022 and migration to v2025
• Perform application tuning for SQL databases
• Handle Log Shipping, SQL table creation, and logical database design
• Manage Data Governance and Disaster Recovery for the database systems
• Utilize SSIS, SSAS, and reporting services tools
• Write MS-SQL Queries and Stored Procedures
• Collaborate with Data Architects, infrastructure teams, developers, and business stakeholders

Requirements

• 4 year degree (computer science or MIS) from an accredited United States based university
• Experience and/or comfortable working in Christian Faith environment
• Previous experience working with very large SQL database enterprise environment
• Documented success of working with clustering, high-availability, multi-node server farms
• Solid experience with SSIS, SSAS, and reporting services
• 3+ years experience using SQL Server (v2019/2022)
• Experience working as SQL DBA with applications tuning being a high priority
• Experience with Log Shipping, SQL table creation, logical design
• Data Governance and Disaster Recovery experience needed
• Experience writing MS-SQL Queries and Stored Procedures

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent
• 3+ years experience using SQL Server
