Junior Operations Manager, Transportation

About This Role

Manage operations for a transportation data collection company, assisting the Director of Operations to expand the client network and executing data collection projects.

Responsibilities

• Gain practical experience in business management and entrepreneurship
• Assist the Director of Operations to expand Quality Counts’ client network across the greater Portland area
• Manage existing client relationships and win new projects
• Execute data collection projects of all sizes
• Install equipment like video detection cameras and pneumatic tubes
• Help with surveys and data collection in the field
• Help engineers and planners improve local roadways and communities

Requirements

• Eager to learn how to run a small business operation
• Hands-on problem solver with an entrepreneurial mindset
• Comfortable working both indoors and out
• Strong with details and can use power tools
• A fast learner who values feedback and collaboration
• Technically capable and confident in the field
• Willing to travel nationally and attend local conferences as needed
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or 3-5 years relevant management/business experience
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
